Text last updated on 27 November 2016 | This charming cottage on the Miriam Stubbs property is the home of Billy Jarecki, the co-founder with Tom Pritchard of Pure Madderlake in Manhattan, which began as a rare plant store in 1974 and evolved into a celebrated business of flower arranging and landscape design. The New York Times described Jarecki and Pritchard as “the Rolling Stones of floral expression.” Their three books included Flowers Rediscovered: New Ideas About Using and Enjoying Flowers.
