Residents of West Springfield bought the property in 1994 from Howard G. “David” Davis III, the developer of the Schoolhouse Center in the East End.
Blueberry Avenue is the cross-axis thoroughfare to Bayberry Avenue in the Meadowview Heights subdivision, a sprawling 74-lot development project initiated in 1983 by Matthew J. Costa on lands between Bradford Street Extension and Shank Painter Pond, reaching to the edge of the Cape Cod National Seashore and the crown of Blueberry Hill.
