263 Bradford Street. [2012, Dunlap]
Text last updated on 22 November 2016 | This lusciously picturesque full Cape has a center chimney, windows tucked right under the eaves, and plenty of vintage neighbors. Town records indicate it was constructed in 1965, but the detailing seems genuinely antique. Perhaps the official date reflects only the eastern addition. The lot on which the house is situated once extended 258 feet, all the way to Commercial Street, where it was numbered 556. That large lot was divided into the current No. 556, the 263A Bradford Street lot, and this one. Elizabeth R. Carlos (b±1901), a longtime insurance agent and colleague of Robert F. Silva, lived here. Silva’s son David L. Silva, one of the proprietors of the Red Inn, acquired the property in 2006.
