Updated on 8 February 2026 | Fritz’s Way — effectively an extension of Conant Street — takes its name from Edward J. Fritz (1923-1998) and Jane Enos Fritz (1926-2008), who purchased this property in 1956 from Francis J. Meads and Ruth J. Meads. The property straddles the road, leaving a small trapezoidal parcel across the way.

Jane Fritz was the daughter of Edward T. Enos and Mary J. (Berrio) Enos, and a lifelong resident of Provincetown. She was a bookkeeper at the Surf Club, J&E Fruit and Produce, and the Old Colony. Her husband came from Staten Island. They married in 1945, at the very end of World War II, while he was serving as a Machinery Technician Third Class in the Coast Guard. In 1964, they built this ranch-style home.

The couple transferred the property in 1992 to their daughter Susan Souza, with a lifetime estate. A year after her mother died, in 2009, Souza sold the property for $429,000. It’s now owned by a couple from Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
