10 Bayberry Avenue. [2016, Dunlap]

Mable Annette (Beane) Chosse (1930-2020), a painter and art teacher, was a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston (now the Massachusetts College of Art and Design, or MassArt) who also held a master’s degree from UMass Lowell. “She taught art at both the primary and secondary levels, her favorite medium being watercolor,” her family obituary stated. Chosse bought this Meadowview Heights lot in 1987. This house was built in 1989, at the time of her retirement from teaching, when she moved to Provincetown and “continued to paint maritime seascapes.” The property was sold by her estate in 2020.
