Text last updated on 11 March 2017 | The citizens of Provincetown attended a “hangar dance” on 20 May 1950 to celebrate the completion and opening of the airport’s 80-by-80-foot steel-roofed hangar and office, constructed for the Cape Cod Flying Service. It was demolished in 1973.
