Text last updated on 26 December 2016 | The Days family owned this property for almost a century, beginning with Joseph M. Days (±1863-1936), a fisherman who was born on São Jorge in the Azores and moved to Provincetown in the 1880s. In 1883, he married Julia M. Rose (±1866-1955), who was also born in the Azores, but on the island of Flores. Their son Joseph M. Days (±1892-1966), a trap and lobster fisherman, served in World War I as a chauffeur with the First Army Air Service on the Western Front. Joseph’s brother, Philip S. Days, was among the owners of a majority interest in this property who sold it in 1988 to Dolores A. Silano. She sold it in 2001 to Dale F. Chin and James P. Furlong, who would soon thereafter buy the Clarendon House, 118 Bradford Street. They converted it into a three-unit condo in 2002.
