Fox Run Conservation Area | Formerly Curtis Conservation Lands

290F Bradford Street. [2012, Dunlap]

Text last updated on 28 November 2016 | One-and-a-half acres of conservation land stretching all the way back to the Old Colony Railroad right-of-way, and reachable along the Whistle Path Woods trail, Fox Run is distinguished by its stand of Atlantic white cedar, which is said to be a rarity in a barrier beach area. It was purchased by the Town in 2004 from Aaron L. Curtis and is managed by the Provincetown Conservation Trust. A pregnant fox was often seen in these parts at the time of its creation — hence the name, Fox Run. (Nowadays, all of Provincetown seems to be a fox run.)
