The Shalom family owns the two of the finest (because they are among the least modernized) commercial buildings downtown: 251-253 Commercial Street and 255-257 Commercial Street. Shalom’s Gift Shop, at Nos. 251-253, is one of the longer continuously operated stores in town. This property has been owned by Sam Shalom since 1976.
