Updated on 22 May 2026 | I think of this as “Bullfrog Pond,” since I associate it with the basso profundo choruses to be heard there on summer nights. But I don’t know its proper name, or whether it even has one, or whether it may an extension — through the water table under the paved roadway — of Shank Painter Pond. It occupies the same tax lot as Fire Department Headquarters. More research is much needed.
