This two-story house occupies a commanding spot at the verdant corner of Tremont Street and Atwood Avenue. In fact, it has also carried the address of 28 Tremont Street in some transactions. The property belonged until 1987 to Helen E. (Marshall) Santos, the daughter of Mary (Almeida) Marshall (d1958), who also lived here. Mary Marshall had come to Provincetown just after the turn of the 20th century from São Jorge in the Azores. It has been owned since 2000 by a board-certified psychiatrist who is affiliated with Outer Cape Health Services and has a private practice in the Boston area.
