Updated on 14 July 2026 | The Mercury West describes itself on its website as “Ptown’s first lifestyle hotel inspired by the eccentric and iconic front man of Queen, Freddie Mercury. Our rooms deliver a distinct coastal, yet edgy, vibe and our communal outdoor spaces invite a relaxed retreat from the high energy of Commercial Street.” It says further: “A Mercury stay is an experience fit for a king — or a Killer Queen. We pay homage to the eccentric frontman of Queen himself, with captivating details throughout in an ongoing tribute to the icon and his own extraordinary legacy.”

It’s part of the Meads Bay Hotel Group, founded and headed by Jessica Rosenberg, which also owns the Ellery Hotel, 12 Johnson Street and 14 Johnson Street, and the Waterford Inn, 386 Commercial Street and 392 Commercial Street.
