12 Winston Avenue

[2012, Dunlap]

Updated on 11 July 2026 | Since 2005, this Beach Point property has been owned by Michael K. Powell, who was chairman of the Federal Communications Commission from 2001 to 2005 and was until 2025 the president of NCTA, a trade group originally known as the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (but is now styled the Internet and Television Association). He is the son of Gen. Colin L. Powell, who was secretary of state from 2001 to 2005.

Robert Biddleman wrote a comment here on 29 April 2014 to say: “My partner, Dan Sullivan, and I sold this home to the Powells. We loved this home, the neighbors, and the proximity to the beach. We had rented to the Powells for several years when they approached us to purchase our home. We ultimately agreed to sell and are glad that we passed the home along to a great family that loves the home as much as we did.”
