Text last updated on 16 January 2017 | Forget the first sighting of the monument from Cape Cod Bay. I know I’m back in Provincetown when I get off the boat and see the beautiful faces of Shirley Baker (b1935) and Marian Goveia at John’s Foot-Long Hot Dogs on Lopes Square. This has been Baker’s home since 1966, when she purchased it with her husband, Elmer Baker Jr. (b1930), the custodian of Provincetown High School.
