Text last updated on 2 January 2024 | On the east side of the parking lot at Beech Forest Trail are stone steps that led to the home of Henry and Eva Helmer. He was the superintendent of the Province Lands from the 1940s to the 1960s, when they were under state control. He died in 1966. The house stood at least until 1973, but has since been razed.
