Updated on 8 August 2026 | Capt. Joshua Winslow of A. B. Nickerson took this finback whale, according to Wooden Ships and Iron Men, which says a whaler by the same name was forced to return to Provincetown during World War I after a confrontation with a German U-boat in coastal waters. This vessel may or may not also be known as Angelia B. Nickerson.
