Former kindergarten

288A Bradford Street. [2011, Dunlap]


Text last updated on 27 November 2016 | Shaun Pfeiffer told me in 2016 that his father, Chester “Chet” Pfeiffer, constructed this building around 1950 as a private kindergarten (there were several in town), which Shaun himself attended. Its beams were made of felled pine trees, Pfeiffer said.

  1. The Cook family, Stephen B., Gertrude S., Stephanie and Lauren J. Cook, lived here briefly in the early ’60s, renting from Chet Pfeiffer. At the time, the main floor consisted of one large room.
